City Life With Seven Paper Amelia From Studio Calico

I’m a City Girl at heart, I was born in London and I’ve now lived here, as an adult, for a while, yikes, I’ve just totted it up and it’s 20 years! When David and I moved last year, we did consider moving out to the country and at one point I thought we would have to because the house prices in London are just ridiculously mad.

But I still *LOVE* my city for all its good points and all its bad points. The idea of moving to the country still floats in my head from time to time, but when it comes down to it I’m not sure I’m ready to leave London yet. You can take the girl out of the city but you can’t take the city out of the girl, as someone, somewhere says.

Lining up a die on the Seven Paper Amelia from Studio Calico

I’m not sure which city it is that is depicted in these gorgeous Seven Paper Amelia papers from Studio Calico but they caught my eye and rang all of my City-Girl bells. I’m using the My Favorite Things (MFT) Stitched Rounded Rectangle STAX dies for this make, I’m just loving these dies at the moment and the sentiment is handwritten by me with a brush pen.

So what about you? Are you a City Girl / Guy or a Country Girl / Guy? What was the last paper pack your saw that rang your City / Country bells?

Do tell!

Catch you later Cardmake-inators!

Enjoyed your post Kim and to get a little sneak peek into your life. London, how special. I was born and raised in California. Lived the first 18 years in a rural community and this moved to Southern CA for college, met my husband, and have been a city girl since.
I'm enjoying meeting new friends since I signed on to your co-op. Your art work for your city is very nice.

Hi Wanda, how fabulous, I've visited California a couple of times and I love it! Would love to visit again and maybe do more of it. I've been to Los Angeles and San Francisco but I've never really seen the rural parts. I've always liked the idea of driving across various areas of America including California, doing a big road trip!

So glad you have been able to meet new blogging friends via #ShowYourFace that lifts my heart to know and makes me very happy!

Thanks for popping in and sharing.
